  • Understanding Your Child’s Therapy at B.well tots

What we use, why we use it, and what to expect

At B.well tots, therapy is not one-size-fits-all. We use a combination of evidence-informed, developmentally supportive techniques tailored to your child’s unique needs.

Our goal is simple: support function, regulation, and connection in a way that feels safe and effective for your child.

Modalities You May See in Sessions

    Manual & Developmental Therapy

Hands-on techniques and guided movement to support:

    • Motor development

    • Feeding & oral function

    • Nervous system regulation

    • Body awareness and coordination

These approaches are rooted in pediatric therapy principles and neurodevelopment.

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) / Photobiomodulation

A gentle, non-invasive light therapy used to support:

    • Tissue healing

    • Inflammation reduction

    • Pain modulation

    • Oral function (commonly used in feeding and post-release care)

    ✔ Does not produce heat
✔ Safe for pediatric use when applied appropriately
✔ Commonly used in medical and therapeutic settings

    Vibration Therapy

Targeted vibration tools may be used to support:

    • Sensory processing

    • Muscle activation

    • Oral-motor awareness

    • Regulation and calming

This can be especially helpful for children who need more input to organize their bodies.

Weighted Materials & Deep Pressure Input

We may use weighted or deep pressure tools (such as lap pads, compression, or therapist-guided input) to support:

    • Calming and regulation

    • Body awareness

    • Attention and engagement

These tools provide grounding sensory input and are always used in a safe, monitored, and developmentally appropriate way.

    Sensory Tools & Play-Based Supports

We incorporate a variety of sensory tools to help your child engage and feel successful, including:

    • Swings, movement equipment, and positioning supports

    • Oral-motor tools

    • Tactile play materials

    • Visual and auditory supports

All tools are used intentionally to support your child’s nervous system, development, and participation.

    Sensory & Nervous System Support

Throughout sessions, we support regulation and connection through:

    • Movement and positioning

    • Environmental adjustments

    • Co-regulation with caregivers

    • Play-based therapeutic interaction
